Explore locationJoin us as an Internal Audit AVP within Barclays Internal Audit (BIA) Economic Crime team. This team is responsible for providing independent assurance over the effectiveness of controls to mitigate economic crime risk across the business. This includes, for example, the assessment of economic crime risk and development and execution of an audit plan to provide independent, reliable, valued, insightful and timely assurance to the Board and executive management.
It is a team of SMEs who protect customers, stakeholders and Barclays from economic crime risks, and is known for the delivery of high-quality audits and positive stakeholder relationships.
To be successful in this role you need to;
be experienced in risk-based auditing or risk/control activities and will be able to demonstrate your passion for economic crime through theoretical or practical knowledge of economic crime legislation and industry guidance;
demonstrate the ability to work independently and within a team to support the delivery of the audit plan;
have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
and high attention to detail and accuracy, via a structured, logical approach.
Other key skills that will help you in the role include:
Financial Services Expertise: Experience in Financial Services industry including Private Banking and Wealth Management, enabling a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, and industry best practices.
Data Analytics Proficiency: Strong capability to analyse complex data sets, identify trends, and generate actionable insights that drive informed decision-making and enhance audit quality.
You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role is based in London.
