We are seeking a QA Macro Rates Options Quant to expand our pricing models for rates derivatives and enhance our existing product suite. This is a hands-on role working closely with Rates Options trading to improve risk management, automate processes, and drive innovation.

QA Macro Rates supports our rates options,  structured rates and inflation trading desks located in Singapore, London and New York with quants in all three locations. The team is responsible for developing and enhancing rates and hybrids models and integrating them in the IT pricing and risking infrastructure. QA Macro Rates works closely together with the trading desks and supports them with ad-hoc product specific analyses and by building quantitative tools for pricing and risk-management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expand current product suite and develop new models for pricing rates derivatives.
  • Maintain and upgrade existing rates option models and development. 
  • Frequently liaise with Rates Options trading on issues ranging from risk management, ad-hoc product analyses, production rollout and library release. 
  • Enhance model management through automation and development of new approaches.

Essential requirements:

  • Strong numerical programming ability using C++ and Python.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience from complex projects.
  • Track record of producing high quality written communication including results of research and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.

Purpose of the role

To provide quantitative and analytical expertise to support trading strategies, risk management, and decision-making within the investment banking domain, applying quantitative analysis, mathematical modelling, and technology to optimise trading and investment opportunities. 

Accountabilities

  • Development and implementation of quantitative models and strategies to derive insight into market trends and optimize trading decisions, pricing, and risk management across various financial products and markets.
  • Working closely with sales teams to identify clients' needs and develop customised solutions.
  • In-depth research, data analysis, and statistical modelling to derive insights into market trends, pricing, and risk dynamics.
  • Provide front office infrastructure support though ownership and maintenance of analytical libraries.
  • Provision of expertise on quantitative methodologies, technological advancements, and industry best practices to drive innovation within the trading environment.
