Explore locationWe’re looking for a strategic and agile Senior Category & Sourcing Manager at Barclays to help shape the future of the Barclays Payments Acceptance business. This role is central to building the supply chain and procurement capabilities of a newly carved-out entity, in partnership with Brookfield. You’ll lead sourcing activities across a range of categories, primarily Technology and Technology Services, while supporting the transition of existing suppliers and the setup of standalone procurement and third-party management processes.
To be successful as a Senior Category & Sourcing Manager, you should have:
Extensive proven experience in Procurement.
Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
Project Management and execution, including collaborative and cross-functional stakeholder management.
Good communication skills and a consultative business partnering approach. Excellent organisational and project management skills.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Practical training in a reputable blue chip or consulting approach to Procurement/category management and process design.
Knowledge of Procurement technologies and experience deploying and enhancing processes.
MBA/Post-Grad degree.

This role is based in Northampton.
Purpose of the role
To optimise and address Barclays 3rd party spend requirements, including the definition, development and implementation of approaches for relevant spend categories and requirements with close collaboration with the business and execution of strategic sourcing and buying channel development/optimisation.
