Senior Project Manager & Business Analyst

Join us as a Senior Project Manager & Business Analyst at Barclays, where you'll take on a high‑impact hybrid Business Analyst / Project Manager role at the heart of the Credit asset class, working across a broad portfolio of initiatives spanning modern cloud‑based platforms and critical legacy systems. You will drive delivery and shape requirements for complex Credit flows including bond and loan trading, pricing and quoting (RFQ and internal sales workflows), as well as regulatory and compliance reporting, ensuring accurate and timely trade and position submissions to local regulators and internal Barclays platforms.

The role offers genuine end‑to‑end ownership, combining deep business analysis with hands‑on delivery leadership, and is ideal for someone who enjoys operating at the intersection of business, technology, and delivery, influencing outcomes on mission‑critical platforms used daily by the Credit business.

To be successful as a Senior Project Manager & Business Analyst, you should have:

• Strong requirements analysis and process‑improvement skills, translating needs into clear, testable user stories and designs
• End‑to‑end ownership of analysis and delivery with strong decision‑making and ability to manage evolving requirements
• Solid delivery management across global teams, including risk/issue control, sprint/backlog prioritisation, change handling, and UAT coordination
• Hands‑on Agile tooling expertise (JIRA, SharePoint, Confluence) with excellent communication across business and technology

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• Ability to create high‑quality BRDs, functional specs, process maps, and operational designs
• Experience with prototyping, journey mapping, and facilitating requirements workshops
• Strong business‑outcome focus with technical awareness (SDLC, APIs, data structures) and exposure to test/automation concepts
• Familiarity with credit or Fixed Income trading environments and proficiency with BA‑relevant data analysis tools

Purpose of the role

To support the organisation, achieve its strategic objectives by the identification of business requirements and solutions that address business problems and opportunities. 

Accountabilities

• Identification and analysis of business problems and client requirements that require change within the organisation.
• Development of business requirements that will address business problems and opportunities.
• Collaboration with stakeholders to ensure that proposed solutions meet their needs and expectations.
• Support the creation of business cases that justify investment in proposed solutions.
• Conduct feasibility studies to determine the viability of proposed solutions.
• Support the creation of reports on project progress to ensure proposed solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
• Creation of operational design and process design to ensure that proposed solutions are delivered within the agreed scope.
• Support to change management activities, including development of a traceability matrix to ensure proposed solutions are successfully implemented and embedded in the organisation.
