Join Barclays as a Technology Business Analyst and Project Manager in Singapore, where you’ll:-

Manage requirements analysis and change delivery covering growth initiatives, regulatory mandates, simplification and controls within the APAC region including Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, India and China. You will work within the Markets Post Trade Team facing off to Operations / Front Office and internal technology management stakeholders across locations and business lines.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Work with Front, Middle and Back office users as well the Development and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to deliver change on time and with high quality.

  • Understand and document the requirements of the respective business and operational. Gain and maintain in-depth knowledge of post trade applications and regional flows for each business and product class as a Subject Matter Expert.

  • Work closely with software development teams to ensure user requirements are clearly understood and developed as specified in the documentation.

  • Gather development and testing estimates and work with the relevant product owners or project managers to include these in formal project plans.

  • Manage various stakeholders across Front Office, Operations, Risk, Finance and Global Technology. Be pro-active in articulating bottlenecks, conflicting prioritization, and known/unknown gaps.

  • Conduct comprehensive functional testing during the development process and work closely with the relevant users to complete user acceptance testing (UAT).

Specific knowledge/experience:-

  • Prior experience within Markets Post Trade areas like payments, settlements, margining, confirmations or regulatory reporting and knowledge of how projects are run and managed in both waterfall and agile based environments.

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of full cycle Investment Bank end to end processing.

  • Project management and Business analysis skills and development lifecycle experience, working within IT, with proven delivery record and an ability to work in a demanding environment.

  • Ease in working with matrixed and global environments.

  • A proactive attitude towards problem solving and willingness to be a hands-on technologist.

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong time management and ability to coordinate with various teams to action items

  • Ability to build ongoing work relationships across locations and teams

  • Experience with MS Visio, Project, Excel, Word, SharePoint, JIRA, Confluence, MS Teams etc.

  • Identification and analysis of business problems and client requirements that require change within the organisation.

  • Support the creation of business cases that justify investment in proposed solutions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to determine the viability of proposed solutions.
  • Support the creation of reports on project progress to ensure proposed solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Creation of operational design and process design to ensure that proposed solutions are delivered within the agreed scope.
  • Support to change management activities, including development of a traceability matrix to ensure proposed solutions are successfully implemented and embedded in the organisation.
