Explore locationJoin us as a Financial Intelligence Unit - Risk & Control Specialist, supporting the delivery of the FIU’s global strategy for proactive, intelligence-led financial crime risk mitigation. The FIU Risk & Control team plays a critical role in maintaining effective governance and controls to manage and escalate financial crime and operational risks. In this role, you will perform controls testing, manage issues through remediation, assess audit and assurance findings, produce accurate management information, and conduct quality assurance reviews of Suspicious Activity Investigations. You will also provide clear, actionable feedback on policy and process risks.
To be successful as a Financial Intelligence Unit - Risk & Control Specialist, you should be:
Skilled in identifying, assessing, and monitoring risk with a comprehensive understanding of enterprise risk management, with a focus on financial crime and operational risk
Experience with controls testing, assessing the design, and operating effectiveness of financial crime controls; role-holder will perform controls testing through a financial crime compliance lens, whilst ensuring alignment with regulations, policies, and frameworks
Working knowledge of Issues Management processes including the use of ORAC; role-holder will be responsible for management of issues including identification, root cause analysis, assessment of materiality and driving action plans through to completion of remediation
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Quality Assurance experience: role-holder may execute Quality Assurance (QA) reviews of Suspicious Activity Investigations and provide meaningful and actionable feedback on areas of policy or process risk
Attention to detail, problem solving and analytical skills
Experience of working in a global financial crime environment
This role is located in Whippany, NJ.
Minimum Salary: $110,000
Maximum Salary: $135,000
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
