We’re seeking a proactive and strategically minded Operations Insights, Strategy & Governance Lead to drive data-led decision making, strategic planning and robust governance and co-ordination support across CLM operations.  This role sits at the centre of operational performance, translating insight into action, ensuring effective oversight and control, delivery against business priorities and acting as a central connector across a sizeable stakeholder footprint. This role plays a pivotal part in supporting the shaping and delivery of business strategy, identifying trends, providing recommendations, and supporting the development and execution of key initiatives. You’ll operate at pace, bring strong operational and risk awareness, and ensure that complex pieces of work move forward smoothly and effectively. The successful candidate will operate as a trusted partner to senior leadership.

To be successful as an Operations Insights, Strategy & Governance Lead, you should have:

  • Proven experience operating in a fast‑paced environment at a quality level, with transferable expertise from similar roles.

  • Strong operational and risk awareness, with the ability to anticipate impacts, navigate challenges and provide forward looking recommendations.

  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills, with an ability to influence at a senior level.

  • Ability to develop high‑quality presentations, analyse data, and interpret capacity and budget information, all with governance frameworks in mind.

  • A strategic and execution focused mindset with the ability to translate insight into action, to support decision-making and prioritisation.

  • Support with tracking and embedding strategic initiatives, with transparency of progress and outcomes.

  • Change management capability, with the ability to manage and embed change effectively.

This role is based in Glasgow.

Purpose of the role

To collaborate with stakeholders and use data and MI to identify process optimisation opportunities for capacity creation in relevant business areas. 

Accountabilities

  • Development and implementation of strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of banking operations, using data led insights.
  • Participation in projects and initiatives to improve performance & optimisation   efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Development of reports and presentations on performance & optimisation and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
  • Identification of industry trends and developments, and collaboration with stakeholders across the bank to provide recommendations for change and improvement within performance and optimisation processes.
  • Development and implementation of analytics and reporting performance & optimisation to mitigate risks and maintain efficient operations.
  • Identification of capacity creation in operations using data and Management Information.
