You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as experience with handling data, identifying poor quality issues with data, performing of root cause analysis on the poor quality data to identify and recommend solutions to resolve those poor quality data as well as job-specific skillets.

To be successful as a "Senior Analyst", you should have experience with:

Basic/ Essential Qualifications:

  • B.Com (Pass/Hons) or equivalent with minimum 3 Years of working experience in Finance/ Accounts Receivable/ Accounts Payable/ Cash & Banking/ Reconciliation or similar operations.
  • Reasonable Knowledge of Financial Statements and Services in banking environment.
  • Experience of banking/financial service industry, good working knowledge of SAP & Excel.
  • Reasonable hold on SOX management & Compliance framework.
  • Demonstrated experience in doing process improvements.
  • Excellent team player with the ability to also work independently when required.
  • Should be able to handle multiple stakeholders effectively.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and balance priorities to meet tight deadlines.
  • Basic understanding of Reference data and Master data.
  • Basic understanding of accounting of transactions and its representation in a Bank’s financial statements (P&L and Balance sheet).
  • Strong communication skills.

Desirable skillsets/ good to have:

  • Address and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
  • Provide Level 1 consultancy to Finance/Business on Financial Breaks occurring from Reconciliation and Open Balances in suspense accounts.
  • Basic understanding of Reference data management and SAP elements to perform impact assessment required from new projects and changes.
  • Operational monitoring of the data interaction between upstream and downstream systems and pre-emptively highlight/resolve any possible breaks.
  • Consult with Line Manager, Financial Control and Product Control teams to ensure wider requirements are met and stakeholders agree timetable.
  • Preparation of variance analysis; ensuring a sufficient level of understanding of the key issues driving financial performance
  • Support project teams by providing insights and help in aligning project objectives with operational goals.
  • Supporting ad-hoc requests ensuring that we meet high standards to provide a timely response to all queries.
  • To ensure strong processes are in place with strong control environment, adhered timeline to deliver accurate information in a timely manner and to the highest standards, allowing time for review by line manager and finance management.
  • To review and update Procedures, Terms of reference and Delivery Lists for each report in the Service Catalogue

This role will be based out of Noida and Chennai

Purpose of the role

To monitor and ensure adherence to data quality standards, processes, and initiatives to enhance overall data quality and enable effective decision-making. 

Accountabilities

  • Identification and prioritisation of critical data elements requiring quality improvement.
  • Development and maintenance of data quality dashboards and reports to track progress and communicate data quality performance.
  • Analysis and evaluation of data quality issues and trends  and perform root cause analysis to clearly articulate the problem.
  • Development and implementation of thematic data quality strategies and policies aligned with the bank's overall data governance framework.
  • Triage, prioritisation and determination of criticality of data quality issues managing associated risks, issues and dependencies, driving management and facilitation of data quality issue remediation and return to green plans.
  • Definition of requirements and specifications for proposed data remediation efforts to meet regulatory commitments, risk controls and business objectives.
  • Recommendation and implementation of data quality improvement technologies and tools, including use of machine learning.
