Explore locationEmbark on an exciting career journey with Barclays as an Assistant Vice President – Financial Crime Compliance supporting our Private Bank business in Singapore. In this role, you will:
1. Assist in regulatory compliance activities by managing updates, submissions, and obligations driven by Singapore regulators.
2. Provide expert advisory on local regulatory compliance matters to Private Bank businesses and functions.
3. Drive training initiatives to ensure employees receive Financial Crime training aligned with their roles and responsibilities.
4. Support audits and regulatory inspections by preparing documentation and managing follow-up actions.
5. Assist the Financial Crime Compliance Lead and MLRO to monitor external events, conduct Lessons Learned reviews, and integrate findings into risk assessments and control frameworks.
6. Perform AML investigations and ensure timely reporting of suspicious transactions to relevant authorities.
This is a key role where you will help safeguard our business, strengthen compliance culture, and contribute to risk management excellence.
Role Requirements
1. Bachelor degree or equivalent in banking or a related field
2. At least 5 years of previous relevant experience in Private Banking Financial Crime Compliance, Controls, Due Diligence or Audit.
3. Previous experience pertaining to wealth management onboarding/periodic review/trigger events of APAC clients.
4. Good knowledge of the relevant AML/CFT regulations, notices, information papers and guidelines.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
