Join us as a CRDU Operations Strategy Manager. At Barclays, our vision is clear –to redefine the future of banking and help craft innovative solutions. The overall purpose of the role for the loaned staff is to support the Reference Data team by acting as a techno-functional SME for Party and Legal Entity Reference Data, driving remediation efforts across issuer, counterparty, customer, and legal-entity hierarchies. The role involves close collaboration with Business, Operations, and IT teams to address data gaps, hierarchy mismatches, identifier issues, and lineage breaks. Additionally, the individual will partner with governance forums, regulatory, risk and control teams, and external vendors to ensure robust data standards, controls, lineage, and audit readiness. Responsibilities also include extracting and validating datasets from enterprise reference data platforms and downstream consumer systems to maintain data integrity and compliance.

To be successful as a CRDU Operations Strategy Manager, you should have:

  • Experience developing and executing client/counterparty-driven operations strategies

  • Ability to create, maintain, and publish exception reports to support operational transparency

  • Capability to present and explain complex scenarios, data sets, and business insights to senior stakeholders with clarity and confidence

  • Experience collaborating with technology partners to design and implement improved workflows

  • Expertise in driving and proposing process improvements using data analysis, visualization, and industry best practices to enhance client data quality

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Ability to leverage external sources extensively for gathering entity information and troubleshoot complex, non-standard scenarios

  • Familiarity with tools and engines such as Quantexa, D&B, and Companies House for enhanced data validation and research

  • Experience managing and executing time-sensitive reporting requirements with accuracy and efficiency

  • Proficiency with tools like Alteryx, SQL, VBA, or data visualization platforms to support advanced analytics and workflow automation

  • Background in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related scientific disciplines, combined with experience in senior-level stakeholder management

This role is located in Whippany, NJ.

Minimum Salary: $110,000

Maximum Salary: $155,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To extract meaningful insights from complex data sets, developing robust decision models, and presenting actionable recommendations to stakeholders across the departments. 

Accountabilities

  • Identification and extraction of relevant data from various internal and external sources.
  • Performing sensitivity analysis and scenario planning.
  • Monitoring and evaluation of the performance of existing models.
  • Development and implementation of data quality control procedures.
  • Building and validation of quantitative models to support decision-making across different business areas.
